AFFORDABLE HOUSING PARTNERSHIP COMMITTEE
MEETING MINUTES
January 23, 2003
6:30 P.M. MEMORIAL HALL
TOWN HALL, 1196 MAIN STREET

The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m.
           
Ronald Spakauskas Chair of the Zoning Board of Appeals, was present to discuss a draft of Comprehensive Permit Chapter 40 B Regulations which the Affordable Housing Committee drafted and forwarded to him.  Mr. Spakauskas stated that he was concerned that the time lines established in the Regulations coordinate with the state requirements.   Mr. Spakauskas invited the Committee to the next ZBA meeting to meet with all the members on February 27, 2003. Mr. Spakauskas requested that the alternates be invited to the meeting as well and that the proposed regulations be distributed with a memorandum explaining the process.  Ron stated that the owner of Holden Hills is open for suggestions on what to do with his property

Review of Board of Selectmen’s Meeting The Board of Selectmen reviewed a draft of the Action Plan for the Affordable Housing Committee submitted to them for review.  The Housing Committee would like to establish a non-profit to starting housing construction on the Putnam Lane Lots.  The Board of Selectmen requested that the Action Plan be distributed to all Town Boards and Committees for their review and comment and would place it on their agenda within thirty day.

The Committee asked to get the top five locations for the Public Safety building to determine if they would meet the requirements AHEPA is seeking for their development.
